Sanitizing Footbath Mats are floor mats designed to aggressively clean dirt, debris and other contaminants and bacteria from footwear before entering clean rooms and hygienically controlled areas such as food processing plants, ISO certified laboratories and surgical rooms.
Thousands of flexible rubber fingers work their way into the grooves of the footwear, scraping and dislodging particles. The floor mat itself is filled with a disinfectant such as a chlorine solution or quaternary, which washes the shoes and kills bacteria and other microbes.
The 24" x 32" x 1/2" standard sized Sanitizing Footbath Mats hold 1 gallon of disinfecting solution while the larger 32" x 39" footbaths fit most standard doorways and have taller 2-1/2" walls, permitting the mat to hold up to 5-1/2 gallons of solution while helping prevent the disinfectant from spilling out even when having both feet in the mat at once.
When the footbath mat is properly filled with disinfectant, the rubber fingers will be completed covered and the sole and sides of the footwear will be in contact with the solution. Actively scraping footwear will dislodge debris and neutralize bacteria.
